Steve's Notes

===== NGC 3038 18" (3/17/07): fairly bright, fairly large, oval 3:2 NW-SE, ~1.8'x1.2', large bright core, very faint halo, brighter quasi-stellar nucleus. Three IC galaxies lie to the west with IC 2513 the closest at 17' SW. 17.5" (3/28/87): moderately bright, slightly elongated oval WSW-ENE, fairly small, bright core.
