Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 2951 was not described as double by Marth, but his "pF, S, E" is a fair description of the two galaxies as they might be seen visually. Given that Marth's position is within 3/4 of an arcminute of the pair, the identity is certain.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 2951 17.5" (2/13/88): very faint, very small, round. Located 2' S of the line joining two mag 9.5 stars 3.1' NE (SAO 117834) and 4.6' NW. This double system was not resolved.
