Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 2688 and NGC 2689. I've identified these using LdR's sketch. Though he saw the two objects on only one night, the sketch is a fair depiction of the sky in the area of NGC 2684. It also shows the bright galaxy, it shows NGC 2686 to be double in the correct orientation, and it shows NGC 2687 as well; all in their correct relative positions.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 2688 18" (4/26/08): this very difficult member of the NGC 2684 group appeared extremely faint and small, ~5" diameter (quasi-stellar). Only popped into view with averted vision and concentration but sketched in the correct position on a line between a mag 10.7 star 2.8' SSE and NGC 2687. 17.5" (3/8/97): not found
