Steve's Notes

===== NGC 7407 18" (9/16/09): fairly faint, fairly small, elongated 2:1 NNW-SSE, 0.6'x0.3', very weak concentration, no core or zones. A 20' string of faint galaxies oriented N-S follows, including UGC 12238 14' NE (closest). All the galaxies in the nearby string, including NGC 7407, have identical redshifts of z = .022, so are members of the same group or cluster within the Pisces-Perseus Supercluster. 17.5" (9/2/89): fairly faint, fairly small, oval NNW-SSE, almost even surface brightness.
