Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 7257 = NGC 7260. Marth's position is 24 seconds of time too far west, and 5.5 arcmin too far north, roughly the same offsets as for NGC 7266 which he found on the same night. This makes N7257 identical to N7260, one of Stephan's micrometrically-measured discoveries. Swift also found this galaxy independently; his position in his 4th list is close to Stephan's. However, when Swift found the nebula in Dreyer's GC Supplement, he withdrew his discovery claim (see his 6th list).
