Steve's Notes

===== NGC 7168 18" (7/6/02 - Magellan Observatory, Australia): at 228x, moderately bright, fairly small, round, 1' diameter, sharply concentrated with a very small bright core. A mag 14.5 star is close southeast, just 43" from the center. Located 27' S of brighter IC 5152. PGC 101233, located 3' SE, appeared extremely faint and small with a brighter 15" core surrounded by an extremely faint halo (possibly elongated). The companion's redshift is 4x that of NGC 7168.
