Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6824 17.5" (6/8/91): moderately bright and large, 1.5'x1.1', elongated 4:3 SW-NE, bright core with a substellar nucleus, high surface brightness. A mag 13.5 star is just off the south edge 34" from the center and a pretty yellow/blue double (Stein 2452 = 9.0/11.1 at 15") is 3.5' N. Unusually bright for a galaxy in a Milky Way field.
