Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6579 17.5" (7/16/88): very faint, very small, slightly elongated. A mag 15.5 star is 30" SW (this is a double star on the POSS). Nearly attached at the SW edge of NGC 6580 (34" separation) in a large group.
