Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6425 17.5" (8/2/97): roughly three dozen stars in a 16'x7' detached region about 20 of which are mag 11 and the remainder mag 12-13.5. The group stands out well using a 14mm UltraWide, although the stars are fairly scattered with no dense regions. Near the center is a nice 30" equilateral triangle (brightest of the trio is at the SE vertex) of mag 10.5-11.5 stars. Following this triangle is a large "hole" in the cluster devoid of any stars. The brighter stars form an irregular border although there are two noticeable strings of stars in the cluster. Located 1.5 degrees NE of M6. 8" (6/27/81): 15 stars mag 11-13 in a triangular outline.
