===== NGC 6394. See NGC 6393.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6394 18" (7/30/08): faint, fairly small, very elongated 3:1 SSW-NNE, 0.6'x0.2', very weak concentration. An extremely faint star is off the NNE tip. Located 3.9' SE of mag 8.0 HD 159266, which detracts from viewing. NGC 6393 = MCG +10-25-054 (identified as NGC 6394 in RNGC, MCG and PGC) is located 6.6' SSW. NGC 6399 lies 11' ESE. 17.5" (6/18/88): very faint, fairly small, very elongated SW-NE. Three mag 14/15 stars are near the north end. Located 3.8' SE of mag 8 SAO 30431. Pair with NGC 6399 11.3' ESE. Note: This galaxy is misidentified as NGC 6393 in all modern catalogues.
