Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 6376 and NGC 6377. Swift notes these faint galaxies as "sf of 2" and "np of 2", respectively. The actual orientation is southwest and northeast, in accord with Swift's positions (which for a wonder are not bad). Dreyer used the positions, but omitted Swift's faulty notes. Swift must have had occasional field orientation problems. Other of his observations (see e.g. NGC 6365) have directions reversed.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6376 17.5" (6/18/88): very faint, very small, slightly elongated, weak concentration. Forms an interacting pair with NGC 6377 35" NE of center.
