===== NGC 6301 = IC 4643, which see.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6301 17.5" (8/1/89): faint, moderately large, oval WNW-ESE. A mag 13 star is embedded in the SW portion. Forms a pair with CGCG 225-050 4' SE. The companion was extremely faint and small, round, weak concentration.
