===== NGC 6223 18" (6/21/09): moderately bright, fairly small, elongated 5:3 NW-SE, 1.0'x0.6'. Contains a large bright core and a fainter envelope. UGC 10517 lies 20' SW. 17.5" (6/18/88): moderately bright, fairly small, slightly elongated ~E-W, very bright core, faint halo. Contains a stellar nucleus with direct vision.
