Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6156 14" (4/3/16 - Coonabarabran, 184x): fairly bright, moderately large, slightly elongated E-W, 0.8'x0.6', high but irregular surface brightness, slightly brighter core. Appears brightest, though, at the west end; either a faint star is superimposed or perhaps a knot in the galaxy. Situated in a very rich star field with a mag 11 star 1.7' NE.
