Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 6151 is an asterism of 8-10 faint stars at JH's position, though he calls it simply "vF and S". It is positively identified by his comment that it "... is pointed to by 2 small stars 9m and 14m; the *9m is the only one of that magnitude within 6 arcmin" (his 9th magnitude star is actually a double). ESO mistakenly chose a very faint galaxy well east of JH's position, which is not only very good, but was copied correctly into the NGC.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 6151 18" (4/6/16 - Coonabarabran, 139x and 236x): at 139x, this asterism (very small group of faint stars) appeared fairly faint grainy patch, less than 1' in diameter. At 236x, two or three mag 14.5-15 stars were occasionally resolved. Situated 2.5' WSW of a mag 11 star and nearly collinear with a closer mag 13 star.
