Steve's Notes

===== NGC 5833 24" (4/4/08 - Magellan Observatory, Australia): bright, fairly large, elongated 2:1 NW-SE, ~2.5'x1.8'. Broad concentration with a large, brighter core. Located 6' SW of mag 6 HD 133981. Surrounded by a large number of nearby stars including a 50" pair of mag 10.8/11.6 stars ~2' N and a mag 7.9 star 4' ESE. NGC 5822 lies 39' NW.
