Steve's Notes

===== NGC 5741 17.5": faint/fairly faint, small, round, crisp-edged, 40" diameter, relatively high surface brightness. A mag 14.5-15 "star" 40" S of center appears to be a compact galaxy on the DSS and is catalogued in NED as LCRS B144308.4-114255. Forms a pair with NGC 5742 7.3' NW.
