Steve's Notes

===== NGC 5535 17.5" (7/18/01): extremely faint and small, round, 10"-15" diameter. Collinear with two mag 14/15 stars 2.5' and 4' SW. Located 2.4' NW of brighter NGC 5539. This radio galaxy is the second brightest in AGC 1890 and at a distance of ~780 million light years (z = .057), is one of the most distant galaxies in the NGC, along with NGC 870 and NGC 2603, according to Wolfgang Steinicke
