Corwin's Notes
=====
NGC 5506, a peculiar edgewise spiral with a strong dust lane and a "thick"
disc, is a well-known radio and x-ray source (see e.g. NED for details). It's
companion, NGC 5507, is a smooth, apparently unperturbed S0^0, radio-quiet and,
while it has also been detected in x-ray surveys, is a much fainter x-ray
source. Since both are at the same distance, and probably at least mildly
interacting, the contrast of their physical properties is striking.
