Steve's Notes

===== NGC 5505 17.5" (5/11/02): fairly faint, elongated 4:3 NW-SE, 0.8'x0.6'. The surface brightness is irregular and the brighter core seems offset to one side from the center (this is a Seyfert galaxy with an unusual appearance on the DSS). Situated between a mag 10.5 star 2.6' SSW and a 17" pair of mag 12 stars 3' NE.
