Steve's Notes

===== NGC 5114 18" (6/4/05): fairly faint, moderately large, slightly elongated ~E-W, roughly 1.2'x0.9'. Contains a relatively large brighter core that increases to a faint stellar nucleus. The halo has a low surface brightness and the edge is difficult to determine as it fades into the background. A mag 11 star lies 5.8' WSW and very difficult NGC 5108 is 9' W.
