Steve's Notes

===== NGC 5065 17.5" (5/27/00): faint, fairly small, elongated 4:3 E-W, 0.9'x0.7', pretty smooth surface brightness. A mag 14.5-15 star is at the north edge, 26" from the center. Follows a wide pair of mag 10/12 stars (SAO 63455) by 5'. Located 19' NE of NGC 5056 in a group. Forms a pair with CGCG 160-180 2.8' SW. The companion was extremely faint and small, round, 15" diameter.
