Steve's Notes

===== NGC 4695 18" (6/28/03): faint, fairly small, elongated 2:1 WSW-ENE, 0.8'x0.4', low even surface brightness. With averted vision the size increases slightly and seems brighter along the major axis. Located 8.5' SW of mag 8.9 SAO 28523 in a galaxy group (furthest SE). NGC 4686 lies 12' NW and last in a one degree chain of 5 NGC galaxies.
