Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 4390 = IC 3320, which is probably also = IC 3319 (which see). WH's position is enough off that the identity of the nebula was questioned by d'A (he got it right). Dreyer adopted d'A's position. See N4398 for more on this field.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 4390 17.5" (4/20/87): fairly faint, fairly small, slightly elongated E-W, diffuse, even or almost even surface brightness. Located 26' NNE of NGC 4380.
