Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 4359. This galaxy is nearly edgewise and shows no obvious nucleus. There is a knot at the northwestern end of the central "bar" that several of the automated surveys picked up, but the center of the "bar" is best represented by one of the 2MASS PSC positions. This is the one I finally chose for the galaxy.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 4359 17.5" (4/25/98): very faint, elongated 3:1 WNW-ESE, appears as large as 3'x1' at times, low surface brightness with weak central brightening, fades at tips. Located 34' NW of NGC 4414. Transparency poor.
