===== NGC 4162 17.5" (5/11/02): moderately bright, moderately large, elongated 3:2 ~N-S, ~2'x1.3'. Weak concentration except for a faint but distinct stellar nucleus (this is probably a superimposed star). Located nearly midway between a mag 10.5 star 2.6' SW and a mag 12 star 2.2' NE. A mag 14.5 star is 1' WNW.
