Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 3913 = IC 740. WH's RA is just far enough off (14 seconds of time) that neither Swift nor Dreyer recognized Swift's 33rd object in his 9th list as being a reobservation of WH's object. Swift's position is just 6 seconds off in RA, so being as far north as it is, the galaxy is unambiguously identified. See NGC 3594 for more on the source of WH's RA error.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 3913 18" (4/30/11): fairly faint, fairly large, 2' diameter. The halo has a very low surface brightness with a weak, broad concentration to a small brighter core. NGC 3916 lies 13' S and NGC 3921 is 17' SSE. 17.5" (3/19/88): fairly faint, fairly small, round, broad concentration. NGC 3916 and NGC 3921 are located about 15' S.
