Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 3847 is just where JH put it, in spite of the note in IC2. Wolf chose the wrong galaxy for N3847 (his object is actually IC 2952); coincidentally, the difference in declinations is just 10 arcmin. See also NGC 3855 where I suggest that this galaxy might also be NGC 3856.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 3847 17.5" (4/14/01): faint, small, round, slightly brighter core. A close pair (CGCG 186-029) NE was not noticed.
