===== NGC 3649 17.5" (4/14/01): faint, small, elongated 3:2 SW-NE, 0.6'x0.4' (viewed oval core only). A mag 14.5 star is just off the south edge [23" from center]. Forms a pair with NGC 3646 7.8' WSW.
