Steve's Notes

===== NGC 3230 17.5" (3/22/96): fairly faint, fairly small, elongated 3:2 WNW-ESE, 1.0'x0.7'. Fairly sharp concentration with a small bright core and occasional stellar nucleus. Unusual appearance with a mag 10 star superimposed at the south edge. Forms a pair with UGC 5625 4' NNE.
