NGC 3197 was found by WH on 2 April 1801. All fifteen objects he found this
night are more or less affected by large position errors. See NGC 3752 for
more on the sweep (No. 1096).

NGC 3197
17.5" (1/28/89): faint, small, round, even surface brightness. Located almost at midpoint of two mag 11 stars 3.7' NE and 3.5' SW.
