Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 3144 = NGC 3174. D'A found NGC 3144 in the late 1850s and measured its place pretty accurately. NGC 3174 is from WH's 2 April 1801 sweep 1096 which was affected by a large, systematic error of some sort. See NGC 3752 for more on this sweep, and how we sorted it out.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 3144 17.5" (1/28/89): faint, very small, oval N-S. A mag 13 star is attached at the east end. Forms a pair with NGC 3155 11.6' NE.
