Steve's Notes

===== NGC 2836 24" (4/4/08 - Magellan Observatory, Australia): fairly faint, moderately large, ~1.0'x0.7'. Located 23' N of mag 1.7 Beta Carinae (Miaplacidus) and 18' N of NGC 2822 in a rich Milky Way star field. Unusual appearance with many nearby stars including at least one superimposed mag 16 star.
