Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 2741. Marth's RA is 1 minute too far east. This misled Dreyer into noting the galaxy as the first of two (the second is NGC 2745, given its correct RA by Marth). Marth's declination is correct.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 2741 17.5" (4/6/02): very faint, small, slightly elongated 0.5'x0.3', ver weak concentration. Located 3' N of a mag 10 star. A mag 13 star follows by 1'. This galaxy is the westernmost in the NGC 2744 group and lies 30' W of NGC 2744. The NGC identification is uncertain as Marth's catalogued position is 1.0 tmin further east (nothing exists there). Listed as nonexistent in the RNGC.
