NGC 2517

17.5" (2/8/91): fairly faint, small, round, strong concentration with small bright core.  Located in a rich star field between a mag 13 double star 1.1' S at 20" oriented E-W and a mag 11.5 star 1.0' NW.  Mag 8.5 SAO 153747 lies 4.2' SW.  Located 10ก from the galactic equator.
