Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 2296 = IC 452, which see. This, by the way, is a Galactic diffuse nebula, not a galaxy.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 2296 17.5" (1/19/91): moderately bright but very small, round, very small bright core. Sirius is 50' WNW and creates a reflection in the field! This object is probably a galactic diffuse nebula located within an absorption patch.
