Steve's Notes
=====
NGC 1962
24" (4/7/08 - Magellan Observatory, Australia): NGC 1962 forms the bright western patch of the NGC 1962-65-66-70 cluster and emission nebula (stellar association LH 58). At 200x it appeared as a large, fairly bright glow on the west side of the complex, ~2' in diameter. A few faint stars are peppered across the glow. Excellent contrast gain using the UHC filter which increased the visibility to a prominent glow. Globular cluster NGC 1953 lies 4.5' W and a large number of additional clusters that I didn't have time to explore lie to the south and southeast.
