Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 1862. JH's description, "vF, R, 30[arcsec]" suggests that he saw more than just the southern clump of stars. So, I've put the position a bit north to include the stars in the northern clump.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 1862 24" (11/18/12 - Magellan Observatory, Australia): fairly faint, fairly small, irregular round, 25" diameter. Two mag 15-15.5 stars are resolved on the north side [6" separation] and a knot on the south side just resolves into a 4" pair. A wide 30" pair of mag 11/12.5 stars is 2.5' S.
