Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 1814 is an open cluster in the LMC star cloud NGC 1820, which see. On the DSS2R, NGC 1814 has an HII annulus around it.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 1814 24" (11/18/12 - Magellan Observatory, Australia): bright, small, elongated N-S "knot" of stars on the west side of the LMC association NGC 1820 = LH 19. Three stars are resolved within the 24" glow. Faint, irregular nebulosity encompasses the knot. Forms a close pair with NGC 1816 2.5' NNE.
