Corwin's Notes

===== NGC 1692 is another of the Leander McCormick nebulae which was sketched. The sketch confirms the SGC and NGC 2000.0 identification with the galaxy called "A0453-20" in RC2.

Steve's Notes

===== NGC 1692 17.5" (2/14/99): faint, moderately large, round, broad concentration to a 30" core. With averted vision the halo extends to at least 1' diameter with ill-defined edges. Located 13' SE of mag 8.9 SAO 169878. Misidentified in the RNGC.
