Corwin's Notes
=====
NGC 1412 = IC 1981. While this is the only galaxy near JH's position that he
could have seen, the declination is far enough off to cause some
concern (the RA is correct). Fortunately, JH's description is appropriate,
especially his note "... has a * sf dist 2'". The star is there.
The copy of the sweep in the Herschel Archives suggests from internal evidence
that the north polar distance was properly reduced, so the incorrect
declination probably results from a mistaken reading at the telescope.
