Steve's Notes

===== NGC 1094 18" (1/15/07): moderately bright, fairly small, elongated 5:3 E-W, ~1'x0.6', broad weak concentration. Forms a close pair with CGCG 389-017 = PGC 10560 1' N. This companion appeared extremely faint, very small, elongated 2:1 WSW-ENE, 20"x10". Required averted vision to just glimpse and too faint for details but I was confident of the sighting. NGC 1094 is less than 5' S of a mag 9.5 star. 17.5" (11/14/87): fairly faint, very small, round, bright core. NGC 1087 lies 20' SW and NGC 1090 14' WNW. Located 4.8' S of mag 9.1 SAO 130113. Forms a close pair with MCG +00-08-014 1.1' N (not seen). 13" (9/3/83): very faint, very small, almost round. Located 14' ESE of NGC 1090.
