Steve's Notes

===== NGC 544 17.5" (11/1/97): very faint, very small, round, 25" round, weak concentration to a slightly brighter core. Precedes a mag 14 star by 1.5' and forms a close pair with NGC 546 1.5' N; the two galaxies and the star form a nearly perfect equilateral triangle. Located ~15' SW of the core of the distant AGC 2911.
