===== NGC 516 18" (12/3/05): fairly faint, moderately large, appears as a thin streak, ~1.0'x0.25' oriented SW-NE, weak concentration, bulging core and tapering extensions. Member of the NGC 524 group. 17.5" (10/17/87): faint, fairly small, very elongated SW-NE, weak concentration. Located 10' W of NGC 524. 13" (8/24/84): faint, small, slightly elongated SW-NE, even surface brightness. Located about 10' W of NGC 524.
