Steve's Notes

===== NGC 512 13.1" (8/8/86): fairly faint, fairly small, very elongated WNW-ESE. A mag 14 star is just off the SE edge 0.6' from center and a mag 12 star is 1.6' SSW. Located 6.5' NE of a mag 11 star. NGC 513 lies 9' SE. The RNGC misidentifies NGC 512 with a faint companion 2.5' S. 13.1" (12/22/84): faint, small, edge-on streak NW-SE, requires averted.
